Olympus
Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece. The peak of the mountain is called Myticas (altitude 2919 meters), where the 12 Olympian Gods lived, according to mythology. It was declared as the first national park of Greece in 1938.

Dion
Ancient Dion was the holy city of the Macedonians and was named after Zeus, the father of the Olympian gods.

Castle Platamon
Platamon Castle is situated at the foot of Mount Olympus, on the road that connects Macedonia and Thessaly. It was built between the 6th and 10th century and is one of the most significant medieval castles in Greece.

Meteora
Meteora is a magnificent ancient rock formation located outside the town of Kalabaka. The monasteries of Meteora, which are perched on top of the cliffs, are today the second most important monastic complex in Greece after the one in Mount Athos.
